Executives

Henegan is led by a group of senior executives whose knowledge, experience, principles, and professionalism set the standard for all the company's employees and reflect the depth of resources Henegan maintains to serve its clients.

Maureen A. Henegan - Chair, Chief Executive Officer

In her 20-year career, Maureen Henegan has played a role in virtually every aspect of the construction industry, from hands-on project management and computer technology to marketing, legal affairs, and finance.  That breadth of knowledge and experience is reflected both in her highly-regarded leadership of Henegan Construction, whose operations and strategic initiatives she guides, and in the collegial relationships she has developed with clients throughout the New York business community.  An attorney and member of the NYS Bar Association, Maureen is also a member of the NY Building Congress, the Building Owners' and Managers' Association of NY, the Young Presidents' Organization, and Professional Women in Construction, which has honored her with its Executive Achievement Award (1995) and Business Leadership Award (2001).

Bernard Palmieri - Vice Chair Emeritus

A member of the Henegan Construction team, since he joined as General Superintendent when the company was established in 1959, Bernard (Barney) Palmieri provides invaluable continuity between the company's origins and a new generation of leadership, ensuring that Henegan's evolution and growth keep faith with its founding principles.  Barney's intimate knowledge of all trade areas involved in new construction, historic renovation, and sophisticated alterations make him an essential resource for the company, its consultants, and its clients.  Combining technical expertise, field experience, and executive ability, he brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to the company's operations and its projects.

Paulinus J. Bryce - President, Chief Operating Officer

With 25 years' experience in construction and an educational background emphasizing business, construction management, and real estate, Paul Bryce is known as an exceptionally skilled manager.  His special strength in on-time scheduling, cost control, and quality control underlies his successful orchestration and execution of numerous fast-track projects of great technical complexity.  Prior to joining Henegan, Paul served as Vice President for Facilities for Dean Witter Reynolds and Vice President in a major construction firm, giving him a keen understanding of the needs and concerns of Henegan's clients and a commitment to continually improving the ways in which we serve them.

James G. Drayton - Executive Vice President

When Jim Drayton joined Henegan in 1997, he brought more than 30 years' experience and exceptional skills in corporate finance and operations, with a particularly broad background in real estate and facilities management.  Prior to joining the company, he served as COO for the Eastern Division of real estate development giant The Galbreath Company.  His earlier positions include that of Executive Vice President, CFO, and COO for interiors architects Mancini•Duffy and Vice President for Shearson Loeb Rhoades, where he was responsible for lease negotiations, design, and construction for the firm's offices, including its headquarters.  Jim's special expertise in and hands-on knowledge of real estate,  facilities management, and the business of design make him invaluable to Henegan's clients and an essential contributor to any project team.

Arthur R. Thomson - Senior Vice President, Business Development
A graduate of the Cooper Union School of Architecture, Art Thomson joined Henegan in 1992, following a distinguished 20-year career in corporate facilities for Fortune 500 companies.  Responsible for the construction management and maintenance of both national headquarters and international facilities, Art coordinated project teams, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, established and maintained corporate standards, and oversaw cost control.  He brings the skills, knowledge, and insights gained through that experience to his role on Henegan's Management Committee, serving as the communication liaison among clients, architects, engineers, and other consultants with whom Henegan works.
